Rio Chama RV park is located in Chama, New Mexico, nestled in a grove of trees along side of the Chama River and is open May 1 to October.
A historic railroad theme prevails throughout the park as the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad is adjacent to the RV Park. Railroad fans can enjoy watching the famous narrow gauge steam train pass by the park as it departs each morning and evening. Many visitors enjoy greeting the train as it crosses the bridge over the river. For those fans who plan on riding the train, or those who just want to explore, the depot is within walking distance, only two blocks away. With acres of beautiful rural setting with mountain views, there’s sure to be an RV site just right for you – whether it is one of our sites along the river or one of the many among the trees.
Because of our central location at the southern end of the Rocky Mountains, we are a day’s travel of many popular attractions from Taos to Mesa Verde, from Sandia Peak to the springs at Pagosa. We hope you will consider using our park as the base of your next southwestern vacation.
Each spacious RV site contains picnic tables and fire rings with a grassy area along side. There are numerous bbq’s nearby for everyone’s use.
